It was such a great pleasure to photographed this beautiful young lady as she embarks as the 2017 FCS Seafair Princess, an academic scholarship Program for Women for this year's Seafair.F She's wearing elegant gowns which were custom made and designed herself. So excited for you Megan and have fun in all the major events you are going to attend this year!

 I saw an opportunity for a photo shoot location,  when I noticed a friend's  posting on facebook of her beautiful backyard with the  ornamental tree. To my  delight, when she said yes, a couple days later I had these images of Shauna.  Thanks Jingle and Dan! And to  Shauna good luck for the college life. 

The ring light made those catchlights of her eyes.

It's about time to put up these photos I took of my sister's wedding last year.  They've been married for almost 10 years (civil wedding) and a church wedding was always in their mind. Because of the kind of work they both have (working abroad in two different countries) it was hard to plan and be at the same time in the Philippines.  So, it was really nice  after seven years of being apart, both of their schedule to come back to the Philippines worked out last summer. And so this dream wedding happened.

Despite,  of the little time for the preparation everything went well.  Friends, mostly with families & relatives gathered joyously to this occasion.

The day has come for this big celebration, Megan turns 18! It's a new chapter in her life and I am extremely pleased that I get to photographed this event.

Just a little bit about Debut. It is a Filipino custom in celebrating 18th birthday, throwing a large extravagant party complete with entourage. The entourage consists of the debutante with her escort, court, 18 multiple sets of males & females chosen by the debutante. She will be presented with  eighteen single roses from the guys and they dance until all the roses are presented to her, they call it the "18 Roses Dance".  On the other hand, the females will light the eighteen candles and will usually give a short heartwarming message to the debutante. In her case, she had chosen eighteen sets of couples to light the candles.  One of the highlights of the event is the father & daughter dance. And the party is concluded with eating & dancing!

It was great to photograph these two beautiful people. I can't believe Ria is so grown up, I've known her since she was still three years old.  And now, she's such a demure pretty lady. It was an enjoyable session & full of laughter.

My very first maternity shot, I'm glad that these couple trusted me to photographed their first pregnancy. It was fun & can't wait to meet their baby girl in a couple weeks. Thanks David & Rosell!

I would like to add, it cost $60 to license a song. So, having these collections of songs, it's awesome!

I was fascinated watching the people, early in the morning,  lining up to ride the gondola  through the comfort of these windows. I mean, 7'o clock it's filling up pretty quickly.  Literally, Powders Edge (condo) is just a few steps away to Whistler and Blackcomb gondola, which was awesome!   The unit was pretty decent, it was interesting that there's a hot tub  inside.

This was taken early  in the afternoon, so there's not much crowd or a long queue of skiers and snowboarders to ride the gondola. The crowd at this time was up there, on the mountain! I was down here because I'm all done, the third day of skiing, my legs just gave up.

Here's more view of the life in the Village! It was a great trip spending time with family and with great nephews and awesome brother & sister in law.

I was waiting for these skiers to ski down or get out of my way and shot the rings from this angle but it took them forever. It's so crowded that every time I change position their got to be someone in the way. So, I just decided to include them &  I liked the way it turned out. This particular cabin was the house of Andrew and Augusta Beckstrom with their 16 children. Their third child, John was born in this cabin and is the first  recorded birth in Bothell.

The schoolhouse was built in 1885 but the opening was delayed until March 1886 due to weather conditions. It's typically a one room school for grades one to eight.

Standing in line, I thought we were waiting for this guy until he was done shoveling. But that's not the case, they were doing avalanche control http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/maintenance/avalanche. He was at paced at the beginning,  but like halfway through he slowed down, that must be a workout.   As far as I can remember, since I started skiing in 2003 at this early season with so much snow was unusual.

Finally, the long extra wait was over and here's Mike digging his skis with a waist deep powder snow!

For snowboarders like Dane, powder day was awesome! For me, it was challenging and at the same time it was so much fun! I never knew I would love snow or skiing that much coming from a tropical place (Dumaguete City) http://dumaguetecity.gov.ph/ with no traffic lights at all!

How's this for a close up view of the newly painted Space Needle. This was the most exciting part I was looking forward to, a shot from a helicopter's perspective! 

And we flew over the great wheel at the Seattle's waterfront.

This is the freeway I-5.  Oh, I think we were turning around this time and went back South. I dunno I was enjoying the view from up above! It was a pretty awesome experience! Mike, Dane & I enjoyed it very much and would do it again (note to self, keep an eye for groupon).

So, Mike got these jugs from ebay which was from his great-great grandfather.  I find it really amazing to have these antique stoneware artifacts in our hands.

It's a privilege to work with this smart little girl, who once in a while would tell me how to angle her shot.  It was a fun afternoon!

Turned out to be nice today and a little bit chilly. We drove to a nearby place for fall photoshoot. Here's my sister and my mother. I'm grateful she came over,  she can't do anything now as I drag her around  for photoshoot.
